TERMS AND CONDITIONS (T&Cs) OF VEHICLE HIRE FROM TIDAN TRUCK & CAR RENTALS These basic Terms and Conditions make up wholly or part of Tidan Truck and Car Rentals' contract with the renter. By ticking the the accepting the T&Cs box online, you as the renter has effectively signed our online contract which has the same effect as the the site-signed contract. Tidan Truck & Car Rentals reserve the right to request a site-signed contract and an onsite verification of your drivers license.By accepting the terms and conditions, you agree that this form may be used for future subsequent vehicle rentals without having to sign the form on site.
1- CONDITION OF VEHICLE: Tidan Truck & Car Rentals state that to the best of our knowledge and belief that the vehicles we rent out are in sound and safe condition and free of any known defects or faults which would affect its safe operation under normal use. The vehicles are rented out with minor damages as detailed on in the contract supplied. Any further damage will be fixed at the renter’s expense including paying relevant insurance excess and admin fee within 7 days of incident. The Renter shall keep the vehicle in a reasonably clean condition. A cleaning charge of $75 shall apply for a dirty vehicle including night driving bug splatter. Tidan Truck & Car Rentals might request an adhoc inspection of vehicles for long term rentals.
2-STRICTLY NO SMOKING: is permitted in the vehicle. While vehicle is in the renter's possession, the renter will ensure that the vehicle in good working order. If smoking is detected in the cab, a cleaning fee of up to $250 applies.
3-QUALIFICATIONS: The Renter is expected to be physically and legally qualified to operate the above-described vehicle has a full driver's license (copy of license to be supplied).
4-RENTAL PERIOD, FREE MILEAGE AND DROP OFF LOCATION: Rental Period is 24 hours Daily mileage is 100km additional mileage is charged at $0.30/km. Pick up and Drop location is from Gregory Hills.
5-RENTAL RATE: The Renter is expected to pay the owner at the quoted amount. All fees are paid upfront. Weekly rental fee is paid one week in advance.
6-INSURANCE: The Renter is expected to be held fully responsible for the first $4200.00 deductible (excess and admin fee) in case of accident, irrespective of who is at fault. If someone else is at fault, we will refund the deposit once the insurance claim process is completed. Processing times vary and cannot be estimated. The Renter also agrees that only the vehicle is covered under insurance and the driver or passengers are not covered. The Renter also agrees that personal belongings and other items left in the vehicle at any time are not covered. To reduce the excess and admin fee to $2400 payable by the renter in case of an accident, the renter agrees to pay $40.00 if required.
7-RETURN OF VEHICLE: The Renter is expected to return our vehicles to the pickup location no later than signed date of return. Additional Charge of $50/hour will apply if agreed time is exceeded by at least one minute and any additional mileage will be charged at 30 cents/km. Should the client fail to return the vehicle within the designated time frame, necessitating vehicle recovery by Tidan Truck & Car Rentals, the client hereby authorizes Tidan Truck & Car Rentals, in accordance with this agreement, to remove all contents from the vehicle and recover it at the client's expense. Additionally, the client acknowledges that any damage to their property within the vehicle during the recovery process shall not be the responsibility of Tidan Truck & Car Rentals to compensate for.
8-NOTIFICATION
OF TERMINATION FOR LONG TERM RENTALS (seven days or more rentals): The Lessee agrees to notify the Lessor in writing of their intention to terminate this rental agreement at least one (1) week prior to the desired termination date. An inspection of our vehicle will be made by our team at that time. Failure to provide timely notice will result in the continuation of the rental agreement under the same terms and conditions until the required notice period is fulfilled and forfeiture of the bond amount paid.
9-FUEL, TOLLS AND TRAFFIC INFRINGEMENTS Any use of toll roads to be reported and paid by the Renter are subject to $5.00/toll admin fee. If renter nominates to use their own e-toll tag, a $20 admin fee applies and bond reimbursement may take up to 7 days. The Renter shall return the truck with the same level of fuel it was picked with, an admin fee of $15 may apply should truck return with inadequate diesel fuel. Any traffic infringements incurred by renter shall be paid by renter and will be subject to $65.00/infringement admin fee.
10-EXCLUSIONS: The rented vehicle shall not be used to carry passengers or property for hire. The rented vehicle shall not be used to carry passengers other than in the interior or cab of the vehicle. No animals are allowed in the cab of the vehicle. Additional Cleaning fee of $50 to remove pet furs will apply. The rented vehicle shall not be used to push, propel or tow another vehicle, trailer or any other thing without the written permission of the Owner. The rented truck shall not be used for racing in any competition &or any illegal purpose or operate the vehicle in a negligent manner. The rented vehicle shall not be operated by any other person other than the Renter stipulated in 1.2 above without the written permission of the Owner. If Renter allows any other person to drive the rented vehicle, the Renter will be fully responsible for all expenses relating to the rental car and any other Vehicle involved in any type of accident.
11-DEPOSIT AND BOND: The Renter is further expected to make the deposit amount stipulated by the Owner. The said deposit may be used, in the event of loss of or damage to the vehicle or equipment during the term of this Vehicle Rental Agreement, to defray fully or partially the cost of necessary repairs, replacement and or insurance excess . In the absence of damage or loss, said deposit shall be credited toward payment of the Rental Rate and any additional balance shall be returned to the Renter within 5 business days.
12- CREDIT CARD PRE-AUTHORISATION AND TOP UP - A physical banking card may be requested upon arrival, and an initial hold of the bond equivalent may be placed on the card. Additional charges for any extra expenses during the rental period may also be deducted from the card. Once rental period is complete, the block on the card will released within 5 days. The settlement time is dependent on the renter's bank's transaction processing times. A top-up is used to increase the value of the original pre-authorisation transaction, where the expected value of the final transaction may be higher than the initial pre-authorised amount in instances such as rental extension, Insurance Excess. The expiry date of the original pre-authorisation transaction processed on a Mastercard, Visa or Amex will also be extended.
13- OPTIONAL TROLLEY, BLANKETS AND STRAPS.: We do offer optional moving accessories for a small fee of $40/hire period.
14- ACCEPTABLE DRIVERS LICENSE: Australian Drivers Licenses are accepted. Green Ps and Red Ps acceptable for drivers above 25 years old. Foreign Drivers License holders will need to provide valid credit card details and valid proof of residence such as a utility bill.
15- INTERSTATE TRAVEL Client is expected to inform the office and pay associated interstate surcharges and mileage as prescribed by the office. Failure to inform the office the office prior interstate travel plans with Tidan Truck & Car Rentals' vehicle may invalidate any support including Roadside Assistance and Insurances.
16-MECHANICAL BREAKDOWN ASSISTANCE: All Tidan Truck & Car Rentals vehicles are provided with 24-hour roadside assistance in case of mechanical breakdowns that are not caused by the user. If you require assistance while on the road, contact NRMA Roadside Assistance at 131122 for prompt support. Please note that additional charges may apply if the breakdown is due to user fault. Tidan Truck & Car Rentals assumes no responsibility for any direct or indirect losses resulting from any mechanical vehicle breakdown.
17- CLIENT AT-FAULT ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE: If you require roadside assistance due to client-at-fault incident, a callout fee of $150 will be charged for each request.
